Exit, Fire, Solid Core & Smoke Doors

An Exit Door is a fire required exit door which forms part of the paths of egress from the building or property. Please note this does not mean it has to be a fire rated door.

A Fire Door is constructed with fire resistance level (FRL) appropriate to the fire engineering design calculation to stop the spread of fire between compartments.

A Solid Core Door is a door that can be deemed to satisfy provisions of the code if in a Type B constructed building is tight fitting and not less than 35mm thick inline with UL listed ratings.

A Smoke Door is a door with seals in order to reduce the spread of smoke from one compartment to another.
